Apprenticeship in Health and Social Care (Level 2 & 3)
Who is the qualification for?
The Health and Social Care Apprenticeship is ideal for anybody in all areas of the Health and Social Care sector, for example:

Care Assistant or Worker

Personal Assistant
-
Relief Team Worker
-
Night Care Assistant
-
Support Worker
-
Key Workers in Residential Settings
-
Key Workers in Domiciliary Services
-
Key Workers in Day Services
-
Home Care Support Worker
-
Mental Health Support Worker

Mental Health Outreach Worker
-
Re-enablement Worker
It is suitable for those who work within the Care sector age from 16 to 60+. Apprentices must be employed for a minimum of 16 hours per week for at least the duration of the Apprenticeship. The Intermediate Apprenticeship will take 6 to 9 months to fully complete the full framework.
Apprenticeship Framework & Qualifications
In completing the Intermediate Apprenticeship the learner will achieve the following qualifications:

Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 2

Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care Level 2

Functional Skills in Maths and English at Level 1

In completing the Advanced Apprenticeship the learner will achieve the following qualifications:

Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 3

Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care Level 3

Functional Skills in Maths and English at Level 2

From If you have already achieved
FS Maths Either GCSE grade C or above or Key skills qualification in Application of Number (min L1)
FS English Either GCSE grade C or above or Key skills qualification in Literacy (min L1)
Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 2 Course Structure;
Candidate must achieve a minimum of 46 credits to gain the Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) for England. To do this they must achieve:

24 credits from the mandatory units in Group A
-
A minimum of 2 credits and a maximum of 7 credits from the optional units in Group B
-
At least 15 credits from the optional units in Group C
Learners claiming a specialist pathway (Dementia, or Adults with Learning Disabilities) must achieve some specified units within the credits required in groups B and C.
