Certificate/Diploma Levels 1 - 3


iMedia allows you to choose your units to make up a Certificate or Diploma, the Certificate syllabus consists of 1 mandatory Unit and 2 Units from the optional list, the Diploma syllabus consists of 1 mandatory Unit and 4 Units from the optional list. You can learn from a range of Photo Editing, Web/Flash Design and Testing or Design Games.

How many units make up a certificate/diploma?

Certificate:

Mandatory Unit 1
Plus choose 2 units from the optional list.

Diploma:

Mandatory Unit 1
Plus choose 4 units from the optional list.

Course Details

  • Beginners – OCR Level 1 Certificate/Diploma for iMedia Users*
  • Intermediate - OCR Level 2 Certificate/Diploma for iMedia Users*
  • Advanced - OCR Level 3 Certificate/Diploma for iMedia Users** 

*For Levels 1 & 2 manuals and coursework are provided for self-study.

**For Level 3 coursework is provided for self-study.

Levels and Units

Level 1 (30 hrs per unit)

Mandatory: 

  • Unit 1 - Exploring the digital world

Optional:

  • Unit 2 - Introduction to Web page production
  • Unit 3 - Creating an animated object
  • Unit 4 - Introduction to digital imaging
  • Unit 5 - Digital Sound and Video
  • Unit 6 - Interactive media presentations
  • Unit 7 - Design and Test Computer Games

Level 2 (30 hrs per unit)

Mandatory: 

  • Unit 1 - Digital Graphics

Optional:

  • Unit 2 - Web Authoring
  • Unit 3 - Digital Animation
  • Unit 4 - Interactive multimedia concepts
  • Unit 5 - Digital Sound
  • Unit 6 - Digital Video
  • Unit 7 - 2D Game Engines
  • Unit 8 - Game Design

Level 3 (60 hrs per unit)

Mandatory: 

  • Unit 1 - Digital Graphics

Optional:

  • Unit 2 - Web Authoring
  • Unit 3 - Digital Animation
  • Unit 4 - Interactive Multimedia Design
  • Unit 5 - Digital Sound Editing
  • Unit 6 - Digital Video Editing
  • Unit 7 - 3D Modelling
